In the Little Suns workshop, you’ll paint “your sun.” It will come from your memories and your imagination - how it appears or how it feels.

When your painting from today’s workshop is added to the large “Little Suns United” sun, it is part of a unified field of light that illuminates the path toward a peaceful future.

Machteld Aardse is a multimedia artist based in Amsterdam the Netherlands. Drawing and painting is the basis from which her work explores other media. Most of her work is executed in the public space. After getting a Master’s Degree in Art History at the University of Amsterdam, she completed a BFA in Fine Arts at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and an MFA in Public Art at the Dutch Art Institute. She has been working with the products of Lascaux Colours, teaching and giving product trainings more than 20 years. Aardse is part of the Moving Academy for Performing Arts (MAPA) and Art Partner.

Ruth Geissbühler is a special education teacher and learning coach with many years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and educators. She is passionate about guiding individuals on their unique learning journeys and helping teachers develop a mindful, relationship-centered approach to classroom leadership, where every child can find their place and thrive. She is a member of the core team of the «Little Suns united» project.
