The inspiring works from our project Little Suns have been created at various locations in Europe and Africa during th summer 2026. As Little Suns united, the drawings will be presented for the first time in Venice, Italy.

When the Little Suns from the various workshops are combined to form the Little Suns united exhibition - they create a unified light-field radiates to pave the way for a peaceful future.

Barbara Diethelm studied Fine Arts as well as Humanities and Applied Science. Besides her career as a painter, since 1995 she has been leading the family business, Lascaux Colours & Restauro. She and her husband, Werner Schmidt, founded the charitable foundation, Fondation Lascaux, which promotes the importance of colours for a new consciousness – one that embraces a holistic view of culture, science and economics.

Werner Schmidt, painter, educator, and co-founder of the Fondation Lascaux. For him, the ethics of artistic practice represent a central value. He has remained a painter, but his studio is now his wild garden. Here he observes, watching like a shepherd who watches the movements of his flock. The central focus of both his artistic practice and his teaching: humility and wonder at the miracle of creation.
