Die Werke der Kinder aus unserem Projekt «Little Suns» entstanden im Sommer 2024 an verschiedenen Orten in Europa. Als «Little Suns united» werden die Zeichnungen erstmals am 29. September 2024 im Atelier Machteld Aardse in Amsterdam vereinigt und präsentiert.

14 – 16 Uhr: Little Suns Workshop
16 Uhr: Offizielle Eröffnung der Little Suns united Ausstellung 2024 mit einer Ansprache und Einführung von Barbara Diethelm und Machteld Aardse.

Barbara Diethelm studied Fine Arts as well as Humanities and Applied Science. Besides her career as a painter, since 1995 she has been leading the family business, Lascaux Colours & Restauro. She and her husband, Werner Schmidt, founded the charitable foundation, Fondation Lascaux, which promotes the importance of colours for a new consciousness – one that embraces a holistic view of culture, science and economics.

Machteld Aardse is a multimedia artist based in Amsterdam the Netherlands. Drawing and painting is the basis from which her work explores other media. Most of her work is executed in the public space. After getting a Master’s Degree in Art History at the University of Amsterdam, she completed a BFA in Fine Arts at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and an MFA in Public Art at the Dutch Art Institute. She has been working with the products of Lascaux Colours, teaching and giving product trainings more than 20 years. Aardse is part of the Moving Academy for Performing Arts (MAPA) and Art Partner.
